KUMAR PARVAT TREK
Kumara Parvatha is a hill 240 km of Bangalore (Karnataka, India) toward Mangalore( Bangalore- Mangalore High Way). The hill is famous for a temple and is a second largest Peak in Karnataka. The hill rises to 1712 m. It consists of peninsular gneiss, granites, basic dykes and laterites. This mountain is on the border between Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts .Rock climbers, cave explorers and adventurers are among others who frequent the locale. Itinerary:
Day 1:
22:00-22:30 : Pick Up and Departure from Bangalore
Day 2:
5:30 -6:00 : Reach Somwarpet in Morning
6:00-7:00 : Freshen Up and get Ready
7:00-8:00: Breakfast and Pack Lunch
8:00-9:00: Drive to Pushpagiri ( 27 Km from Somwarpet)
9:00-9:30: Forest Checking + Get ready for Trekking
9:30: Cross river and Start Trekking to summit
9:30-13:30: Day Trekking with lots of fun and sight seeing
13:30:14:30: Lunch and Rest
14:30:17:30:Reach summit and Watch Sun Set.
18:00-19:00: Setup Night Camp near Shiva Temple
19:00 Ownwards : Dinner preparation with Group + Bone Fire in Moon Light.
Day 3:
5:00-5:30 : Wake Up and Freshen Up
5:30-6:00: Have hot tea/coffee with Sun Rise .
6:00-7:00: Pack up your Camp + Breakfast
7:00 : Start Trekking to Kukkesubramaniyam Temple
11:00-11:15: Rest at Mantap (Small temple like structure)
11:15-13:30: Descend Downhill
13:30-14:30: Lunch (Fresh Cooked) + Rest
14:30-17:00: Trekking Downhill and Reach Kukkesubramaniyam Temple.
17:00-17:30: Rest + Departure for Bangalore
00:30: Reach Bangalore
